The A.P.B.A. is a not for profit organization which exists to
control, govern & administer, formulate & enforce all racing &
safety rules throughout Australia for Écompetition between powerboatsÉ"
It is an "association of associations", the affiliated member
clubs are members of their respective State Councils, each with
its own constitution. The six states collectively form the National
Council.
Members of the National Executive are appointed annually by the
states. Changes to the racing & safety rules are also voted on
at the (July) annual meeting by the states and clubs.
It is internationally affiliated with the UIM, the world controlling
body of the sport. |
